Many new custom built homes in Illinois are placed on the market in the Chicago MLS (MLSNI). Whether you are looking at vacant lots or land, freshly finished new homes or new homes that are close to completion and can still be customized to your specifications, you can use our MLS search tools to locate the new homes and real estate properties that are currently available in the Chicago land area. If you have not yet selected a custom home builder you can view the current new construction listings to find new homes that are similar to your ideal custom home and use that information to narrow your search. With our MLS search tools you can create your own portfolio of new homes or building lots that interest you and you can save your search criteria for future use. Not all custom home builders in Chicago list their new homes for sale in the Chicago MLS and not all local custom home builders are listed in our directory yet (it's a work in progress) so you should not limit your search to what we can show you here. Listed below are links to several Custom Home Builders Associations that either provide additional information on building a new home or member directories that will help you find the builder you want to build your custom home. We have tried to compile the best Chicago real estate information we could find on this site so I think you will find it useful. The National Association Of Home Builders does not have a membership directory but it does have a wealth of useful consumer information that will help you make the right choices when you decide to build your custom home. It is definitely worth your time. When you arrive at the site, go to Resources for the consumer article index. Explore the site. Under the NAHB Research Center button for example, there is a section called Tool Base Services that provides information on materials and subsystems. If you live outside of our service area there is a national search tool to help you locate your local home builders association. The links below will take you to the local home builders associations in the Chicago, Illinois area. These sites each have a member directory with phone numbers or links to individual local builder websites.
